Pixar is a pioneer of computer animation that was born in 1980’s and today celebrating its 25 birthday. Pixar is one of the most successful studios that has made number of animated feature films.

The studio has earned 26 Academy Awards, seven Golden Globes, and three Grammy Awards, among many other awards and acknowledgments. Pixar has produced twelve feature films, beginning with Toy Story in 1995. It was then followed by A Bug’s Life, Toy story 2, Monster’s Inc., Cars, Finding Nemo and many others. All 12 films that Pixar has produced have been largely successful both critically and commercially.

In honor of Pixar’s 25th anniversary, YouTube member NkMcDonalds put together a video montage of twelve feature films and 20 short subjects.

A film delegation consisting of film producers, directors and actors had a meeting with MNA Hamza Sharif in which Reema Khan asked the Punjab Government to provide interest free loans to film producers for the revival of Pakistani cinema.

In the four hours meeting, Reema Khan raised many issues in which she insisted that the Bollywood and Hollywood movies should be banned for few days around both Eids. She also proposed the government to hold provincial and regional level film awards. She asked for the government support in making a film lab in Pakistan that should be equipped with latest tools and equipments.

Syed Noor, Shan, Shehzad Gul, Pervaiz Kalim, Ghulam Muhayyudin and Shazia Manzoor were also the part of delegation.

 

‘Bol’ and ‘My Name is Khan’ were the two long awaited films in Pakistan. The huge crowd was seen on theaters when Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan released in 2010. Film was a big hit and had done the business of 21.658 million in the first week of release.

But the Shoaib Mansoor’s second film ‘Bol’ established new success records. And not even that but it has earned the new business record on the box office. In the first week of release the film has done the business of 25 million in Pakistan and beats My Name is Khan business records.

Families are specially being attracted to the movie and they want to see it at the earliest. Since its first show on June 24, the film is continuously on the march to success. Viewers have proved that if good and standard films are produced, they will definitely be attracted to cinema houses.

 

After 2004, directing a big block buster film Veer Zaara Yash Chopra said good bye to the studio floors. Now after seven years, 78 years old, Yash Chopra is returning back to say “Sound, Camera, & Action”.

He is going to sign Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma for his upcoming project. The name of film is not decided yet but the cast is final. A.R Rehman will give the music of film. Talking with media, Yash Chopra told that he has no idea whether this is a right move or not.

Chopra started his film making career in 1950 as an assistant director to his brother B.R Chopra. Being a director his first film was ‘Dhool ka Phool” released in 1959. Now we hope that an old fashioned soul and today’s modern stars will attract the huge audience towards cinemas.

 

IIFA is an annual Indian international award show and it is 12^th year spreading the magic of Indian cinema and this time in Toronto which is one of the most popular cultural destinations in the worlds.

On the red carpet of the show, famous bollywood celebrities talked to media and when they were asked if Pakistan hosts this show then would they perform in Pakistan. In reply to this question they expressed their desire to come Pakistan. They wished that IIFA should organize its award function in Pakistan and they would definitely be the part of the show.

They also spoke about the fans in Pakistan and thank to all Pakistanis who watch their movies, love them and support them through social networks like facebook and twitter. Bollywood celebrities also said that there is no difference between the people of both countries and the leaders should realize that the people love each other and they wish to see peace and both the countries together.

Recently Veena Malik signed her debut film in Bollywood but now through some sources it is come to know that Veena is going to do an Item Number for film ‘Phir Mulakat Ho Na Ho’ directed by Bobby Sheikh.

‘Phir Mulakat Ho Na Ho’ is a first film as directed by Bobby. He has been the assistant director in films like ‘Rann’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’. With songs by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, KK and Atif Aslam, the film also stars Rajpal Yadav, Kader Khan and Praveen Kumar and will hit the screens in September this year.

Veena Malik got fame from an Indian TV reality show “Big Boss” and now she wants recognition through her acting in Indian films.

 

A long awaited Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol was released on 24 June, 2011 throughout the country. The audience gave a tremendous response to the film and it can be seen through long quos for advance bookings. Many cinema houses found with house full boards in all shows at the third day of release.

Atif Aslam, Humema Malik, Eman Ali, Mahira and entire cast acted wonderfully. Story of the film is very close to reality which gives a serious message to the nation that let the people to think about the importance of women’s right. It has depicted many odds in the society and the subject matter of the film is to raise voice against these odds. Film is picturised in various locations of Lahore and people can watch the actual beauty of city.

Ali Zafar , who after getting fame from Tere Bin Laden is working in his upcoming film “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Through some sources, it was reported that Ali Zafar is trying to be very close to Katrina Kaif off screen. Ali Zafar has been telling people that he and Katrina are not just co stars but they are good friend also. It is also said that the couple were spotted spending some time at Ali’s apartment.

Ali Zafar is playing the fiancee of Katrina Kaif in the musical romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. It is not clear why he is getting more close to actress Katrina. But the actress’ friends think that the budding Bollywood actor is just trying to use her as a ladder to fame.

Differences between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are increasing and according to latest reports the two cannot devote much time to each other due to shooting schedules and have started fighting. Reports also indicate that Saif Ali Khan is fed up with Kareena Kapoors shopping sprees.

Kaeerna is also distressed over reports that Saif Ali Khan is getting close to Deepika Padikone who is starring in upcoming films with him.
